Cara and Carl's Wedding on Orcas

 

We had some weekend wedding fun with Cara and Carl.  The weekend kicked off with a lovely Ferry Ride to Orcas and arriving at Camp Moran in Moran State park, where guests enjoyed boating, swimming, BBQ and wild life.  The following day was wedding day, celebrated at The Odd Fellows Hall.  Cara and Carl's laid back style was enjoyed by all.  Congratulations you two!  I couldn't stop saying how cute you are together.  

What to do on a Sunday at Home

What to do with a Sunday at home. A two egg and mushroom omelet. Roasted potato medley, blue, red and yellow. Top it with olive oil and a sprig of rosemary from the yard. Don't forget to ask the kids to pick the rosemary. They love to eat their very own local produce.


Make a spring yard bouquet. Step out and find what spring has sprung. Flowers, shrubs, and herbs make pretty yard bouquets. Kids can trim and add clusters to help you create a big beautiful arrangement for the house.


Invite a friend over and watch the garden grow. Kick your feet up with a simple mimosa, garnished with a fresh strawberry.


Smells to enjoy. Butter on a hot skillet with sautéed mushrooms. Lavender candle on an antique china coaster.

Juliana and Randal's Engagement photos

Juliana and Randal, California residents, bundled up for Engagement photos on a typical Seattle day (minus the rain). This vintage book loving duo will be married this summer in Snohomish, WA. I met Juliana and Randal several months ago and just loved them. I always cross my fingers after such a meeting, in hopes they will find my style a perfect fit for their wedding. After they said "Yes," I couldn't wait for our first shoot. We enjoyed getting to know each other more, while exploring some fun sights around the city. From across the canal to Ballard then to Fremont.

I'm so happy to have had a break in the holiday season, to enjoy one of the perks of my job.

Melia Watras

I had such a wonderful time photographing Melia and Kim in preparation of their new CD release. The upcoming CD, "Short Stories", features short, stylistically diverse works from composers ranging from Henri Vieuxtemps to Gyorgy Ligeti, and is scheduled to release towards the end of the year.
